Proud Penny Lancaster shows off her burgeoning baby bump in Beverly Hills

They made no secret of the fact they spent over two years trying for a little brother or sister for son Alistair.

And now that Rod Stewart's wife Penny Lancaster is pregnant again, she is proudly showing off the first hints of her baby bump.The proud mother wore tight-fitting gym gear to run errands in Beverly Hills yesterday, and the smallest of baby bumps was visible beneath her pink leopard print top.

The 39-year-old showed off her toned body in a pair of grey leggings and and casual flip flops on the hot Californian day as she parked her Range Rover at a valet and spoke to the attendant.Penny and her 65-year-old husband announced that they were expecting another child earlier this month, saying in a statement:

'We were thrilled and delighted to be able to tell Alastair that he was going to be the big brother to a little baby, expected just before Mummy's 40th birthday.'

The baby is due in February 2011, and will be Rod's eighth child.

Back in 2009, the Maggie May singer told GMTV that they were hoping for another child, "One more and then we’re going to close the office.”The couple have been married since 2007, and welcomed son Alastair in 2005. Stewart has six children from previous relationships, Sarah, 46, Kimberly, 30, Sean, 29, Ruby, 23, Renée, 18, and Liam, 15.
